Maybe it's just me. . I'm wondering why when I take a underwater picture it looks deep blue but to me – looking through goggles it looks basically clear with only a hint of blue? It's not the camera, out of the water everything looks the correct color. Do you know what I found? Chlorinated water (also water in general but mroe so with chlorine) naturally absorbs most colors on the color spectrum except blue which is reflected back to your eyes. When you take an underwater picture you are introducing more light into the water (the flash) which is reflected back as blue.

People cannot use normal cameras under water since they are not built to withstand water leakages and extreme water pressure in the deep. Instead, they use underwater cameras that are specifically designed for taking clear underwater pictures for the purpose without damage to the camera. They are equipped with protective devices and their external boxes are sealed well to protect from underwater pressures. Even though an Underwater Camera is special equipment, the prices of it is not very high when compared with its counterparts that are used on the land but equal with the price ranges of normal cameras. One can buy an Underwater Camera for a very low price.

Underwater Camera – for capturing the spectrum of underwater views

A disposable Underwater Camera is the cheapest camera available for underwater photography. Divers can take about thirty pictures from a disposable Underwater Camera at a time, before sending pictures for development. Even though disposable cameras are cheap they are strong enough to face severe rain and stormy conditions. This type of camera can be fully submerged as deep as 6 to 9 meters. The pictures taken from disposable underwater cameras are in good quality as much as land cameras. People who go on family vacations where they are hoping to engage in many water activities often take disposable underwater cameras with them.

Unlike a disposable underwater camera, a reloadable Underwater Camera can be used many times. They are a little higher in price than disposable ones. One can take pictures with a reloadable Underwater Camera in the water as deep as 30 meters, which cannot be done with a disposable underwater camera. But the quality of the pictures taken at such a depth is not up to the mark even though they are suitable for simple usage. Underwater digital cameras have lenses that can be changed according to the depth and the view. Users can swap lenses with underwater digital cameras. They are good for taking pictures in challenging environments in the deep.

With a digital underwater camera, one can take quality pictures at great depth where extreme water pressure is evident. This type of camera has special features such as high zooming lenses, high definition recording abilities, high quality crystal display LCD screens etc. Most digital waterproof cameras are fixed with internal zooming capabilities that simplify the handling of this type of cameras easier in deep waters. Unlike disposable underwater cameras, digital underwater cameras can be used over a lifetime. They are also available in many designs under a variety of brand names.

When using an underwater camera, special attention should be given to a few aspects to protect the camera from unexpected damages. When diving, underwater cameras should not be worn since the impact may damage it. It is better to ask someone to pass the camera after diving to avoid this type of accidents. If an Underwater Camera has boxes, which has leakages, and the possibility of internal water leakages cannot be underestimated which can ruin the camera very fast. Therefore, it is highly advisable to check whether there are any cracks on the boxes before using these underwater cameras.

I have a water proof fuji film camera from about 2004 I want to develop. I am not sure what size film it is but it looks like a regular disposable camera with a waterproof case around it. It says Xtra800 4th color layer fujifilm superia film. Can I get it developed and where. Today I found out that… Wal-mart, or many chain drugstores have photo departments. If they don't have the equipment on the premises to develop and print they will send it out to a lab. It's almost certainly standard 35mm film and you should have no problem.

There are numerous types of digital cameras and some of them are also perfectly waterproof. Due to an extensive range of underwater cameras, it is very difficult to choose the most commendable one. In order to choose the best underwater camera, you will have to collect some useful knowledge about the features of such camera. Digital cameras are differentiated on the basis of their features and quality. Many electronic companies are manufacturing top-quality cameras in order to fulfill the requirements of people in the best way. An underwater camera is available in numerous designs and styles for providing ultimate photography experience to the users.

You should always select an underwater camera that can provide you multiple features. If you are engaged in some kind of underwater job like sea diving then you must choose the most praiseworthy underwater camera because it can serve you in the right way. On the other hand, if you select an inferior quality camera that doesn’t contain salient features, you will completely waste your time and money. When a sea diver is under the depth of sea, he/she cannot compromise on anything. Therefore, everything in an underwater camera should work properly and perfectly. Some of the underwater cameras are used only for taking snaps but some of them can also be used for recording the video in the deep water.

The quality of digital cameras is measured in terms of pixels. In the past, quality of digital cameras was not very good and due to this reason people were not able to take top-quality pictures. However, the present technology is producing the underwater cameras that are available in maximum pixels. You can take the perfect snaps in the deep water. Underwater camera can also be attained from the various online shopping sources. There is no dearth of various shopping sites that offer the high quality digital underwater cameras to the consumers. If you want an underwater camera of a specific brand, you can attain this from a reliable internet shopping source. I suggest that you should check each and every thing in an underwater camera before purchasing it because in this way you will be able to purchase a valuable camera that can provide you maximum utility. The battery power of a waterproof camera should be good so that you don’t have to face the problems of low-battery warnings. Underwater camera gives you smooth and clear picture and you can easily use it in the aquaculture.

The link below should take you to the site where I found a waterproof camera bag. Let me know if you have used one and if it has worked or how it has worked. Do you know what I found? I went rafting once and a guy had one. I dont think they are supposed to be immersed in water, they are more "splash" or "drop" in the water covers. As above if you put it to deep under the water it will open. So for use by the water good, in or under at your own risk. Cases are better and some are rated to 10 meters (30feet) or more. a

I was looking at the the this camera and was wondering if it has a 12v battery inside like most underwater cams, or is it runs on c batteries like the fish tv plus. And if it is worth the 200$? Any other suggestions would be great. Today I found out that… I own that model. It's an "OK" underwater system but it does have it's flaws. For example- If the water you intend to fish is the slightest bit murky you NEED to buy an aftermarket submersible light and attach it. My F-TV works great in clear water, (on a SUNNY day), but any mud or water sediment in the water makes the viewing near impossible. So expect to buy an aftermarket light, (they sell around $25-$40 depending on which model and how bright). I shared an Aqua-View system with my Bro-Inlaw before I got my Fish TV and noticed his camera had less problems with clarity in stained water. . . (everything about the AQ-V was nicer.) Obviously, the AQ-V system is a better unit, (just look at the difference in price). However, for the money, the Fish TV does an alright job for approx 1/2 the price of an AQ-V system. Just make sure to "baby" the Fish unit, (Don't leave it in your cold garage to get banged up or accidentally mistreated). Bottom-line? What's it worth to you to see a big, (or little) fish slam your bait or lure???? In my opinion, $200 is perty, dang, cheap. (lol)
